Thank you, the explanation helped me better understand some things about the program.
So there isn't a column where the CPU usage for the single application is displayed like in the status bar (which is global) to know the actual usage of the single application?

Wow! The difference in performance is remarkable, and enough to pique my curiosity.

Can you advise steps to reproduce this with the SCIA Engineer software? I've got a trial of it and will begin experimentation.

The version of SCIA Engineer is v24.0.

At the link below you can download the model I used as a test; it is already calculated, just run the reinforcement analysis as per the instructions below.

- Open the file in the software;
- look for "Concrete 2D reinforcement design" in the top bar and click on it (image below);
- on the sidebar that will appear press "Refresh" to par start the analysis (image below);
- the analysis will be completed when colored areas appear on the surface of the object.

The process list is showing CPU Time % while the graphs are showing CPU Utility %.

(Below text partially taken from FAQ)

There are two common types of CPU use measurements, CPU Time (%) and CPU Utility (%).

CPU Utility takes into account frequency scaling, and can exceed 100%.

In the Process Lasso status bar, both CPU Time and CPU Utility are shown.

Task Manager will show CPU Utility in its "Processes" view, while Process Lasso shows per-process measurements in CPU Time. Elsewhere, Process Lasso shows CPU Utility %, like Task Manager. If you switch to Task Manager's "Details" view, you'll see CPU Time measurements instead, which should match Process Lasso.

Although CPU Utility can exceed 100%, its display is capped at 100% in some areas, such as the graph. Task Manager also caps it. Other areas, such as the status bar and tooltips, will show the actual CPU Utility.

You can switch the Process Lasso graphs to CPU Time by unchecking menu item 'View / Show CPU Utility % instead of CPU Time %'.

For more information on CPU Utility vs CPU Time, read Task Manager's CPU numbers are all but meaningless.

As for ProBalance, it uses CPU Time, so I'm guessing you didn't hit threshold on it, or there were other reasons to exclude the process.

A greeting
I was trying the process lasso program, it's version 14.1.0.20
I noticed that even if all the cores of the Intel 12600k CPU work at 100% even for prolonged periods, for example for video re-compression, even if it appears from the task manager, in the process lasso program it results at a low %, I also noticed that pro balance, perhaps for this very reason, does not come into operation.
I wonder if this is correct or should I set some options, thanks

As promised, I update the performance list with a Ryze 7950x processor (16+16 cores). Absurdly, the results are the worst in the test set, despite the Ryzen not having E-cores.

Below is the summary of processing time, in the last line the Ryzen.

I welcome advice, although in the end, I guess I'll have to wait for the developers to rewrite the software...

13900K 8+8 P-Core + 16 E-Core (Bitsum Highest Performance + CoreDirector):
4' 07"  (E-core still works... - CPU consumption: 110-120W)

13900K 8+8 P-Core + 16 E-Core (Bitsum Highest Performance + Process Lasso Pro + Forced Mode + Affinities Only E-cores):
4' 01" (E-core do not work... but they probably disrupt the analysis - CPU consumption: 110-120W)

13900K 8+8 P-Core (Bitsum Highest Performance + E-cores disable via BIOS - NO Process Lasso Pro - NO CoreDirector):
0' 26" (CPU consumption: 140-160W)

7950x 16+16 Cores (Higest Performance - NO Process Lasso Pro - NO CoreDirector):
5' 15" (CPU consumption: 110-115W)

That's the thing even if I put it to default or without any rules it still does the thing until i reopen the program or not run it.

If you set any custom rules in Process Lasso, remove them. You can reset the entire configuration at the bottom of the Options menu. Then you can assess whether any of your rules caused the problem, and slowly add them back. If you have no rules set, then you should uninstall Process Lasso for a while to assess whether it is actually causative.

Some games have built-in anti-cheat mechanisms or other protections that might interfere with third-party applications attempting to change their affinity or priority. This could be why you're seeing issues specifically with certain games.
