Title: Auto-update function requires GUI?
Post by: Autumner on January 13, 2015, 07:30:32 AM
Just wondering if Process Lasso will auto-update (with the option "Automatically keep Process Lasso up to date"), even when the GUI is permanently (or mostly so) disabled. Does ProcessGovernor.exe take care of that? Thanks.

After a bit of testing, it seems that indeed the GUI is probably required to auto-update, which kind of defeats the "automatic" point. Please correct me if I'm wrong here. It'd be nice though if this could be handled silently with no user interaction at all.

It can be done automatically w/o GUI. I have to give instructions though, and maybe a minor code mod. But this *is* doable and not a big problem. The components that update the product are all outside the GUI.

I have a lot of work to do, but give me some time and I'll try to get to documenting how to do this. Sound fair enough?

Sounds perfect, thank you Jeremy.

Hope you can find the time to add this - maybe it could be a nice, Pro-only feature?

Thanks for reminding me about this. I will see if I can take some action ASAP while development is 'hot'.

Previous (now deleted post) was just a spammer.

This reminds me about this feature request though...
