Title: Log folder is forgotten between sleep ?
Post by: prosessilasso on September 24, 2011, 08:36:43 AM
XP Pro SP2 on an IBM Thinkpad, Prolasso 5.0.0.47 (registered version).
Alternate Log Folder location has been set to system RAMDrive (H:\Temp).
When laptop lid is closed, system goes to sleep (not hibernate) and once lid is opened and Main Window is opened, the log data shown is not from the H:\Temp\prolasso.log --- have to manually set *again* alternate Log Folder location to H:\Temp to see log activity

It may be that the log folder becomes unaccessible, and therefore gets reset. I will investigate. Thank you for reporting this.

Issue continues in version 5.0.0.49 -- each time system goes to sleep, log location is lost and has to be manually reset

Why could PL not maintain a setting in registry, ini file etc ... and verify once system resumes from sleep as to location of folder ?

Solving the problem is easy, but in larger projects making any change means you have to re-test a lot of different things - just to be safe. Exactly why it happened, and the fix itself has to be carefully considered too. I hope to have this addressed in v5.0.0.51 final. I will put it in the next beta release as well.
