Title: Achieving Ryzen equilibrium
Post by: yellowishrout on April 15, 2024, 06:22:09 AM
I was hoping you could tell me if I should use bitsum high performance or just leave things balanced. I was wondering if overclocking actually hurts things and if AMD's claim that their processors are designed to work at balanced profile is true. Until Windows 11 comes out. Since it is 5800x and not Ryzen balanced, they suggest leaving it as Windows balanced.

We recommend Bitsum Highest Performance (BHP) while gaming or doing other performance critical tasks. Disabling core parking and below base frequency scaling, as BHP does, does a lot to keep the CPU ready to execute code. We think this is preferrable to the ramp-up overhead.
