Title: hardware power management (HWPM) and OS governor
Post by: VinnyG on August 20, 2024, 12:01:04 PM
hello from Brazil,

I'm coming from Linux and using hw managed pstates for the latency benefits, when it is enabled on bios Linux acknowledges it and reports disabled OS governor management, i have not seen the same behavior on windows so am wondering how does process lasso governor manage

Thanks in advance.

Process Lasso doesn't interact with the p-states and the Linux OS 'governor' is not the same as our Governor, in function or concept. Therefore, please feel at liberty to set your UEFI BIOS settings as you desire. Windows will properly pick up on them. Hope this helps!
