Process Lasso updated today to Process Lasso Pro v6.7.0.34 but for some reason started up in the free trail version rather than the registered version. Luckily, I had my registration number on hand to reactivate.
I don't recall this happening before. I thought I should mention that it occurred.
There is only one version of Lasso, so what has happened here is a loss of registration unrelated to the update.
Probably, the registration data was lost, but the loss wasn't seen until Lasso restarted after the update.
How did the registration data get lost? Well, registry cleaners are the usual culprit. In their zest to delete registry keys, some don't 'get' that 'ProcessLasso' matches the installed application 'Process Lasso' (with the space). Other causes are extreme hardware changes, such as a change to the CPU.
