Hey,
happily been using Process Lasso for a while now, first with a Ryzen R9 3900X, now with a R9 5950X and it really makes a difference. Don't wanna miss it for various reasons.
Now i have new little "issue" and need advice on how to solve this.
The actual setup:
I've created a Windows Power Profile called "Desktop w/o Boost" on which i left almost everything vanilla, except completely disable the Windows boosting behaviour, because the Ryzen tends to boost all cores up to 5,1 GHz with the simplest of workloads and that gets on my nerves when the coolers rev up.
This is set in Process Lasso as the default power profile.
Aside from that i use the High Performance profile for .. well Performance Mode. :)
I've enabled the Automatic Detection for Performance Mode for use with Steam and other gaming launchers.
Now i have some games in Steam that really do not need the Performance Mode at all. Simple ones, old ones or low performance ones.
I want to exclude those games from the automatic detection OR set desktop profile for them.
"Automatic Game Detection Exclusions" seem to be ignored when i launch the games from Steam.
"Application Power Profiles" was the next thing i tested for a specific process, but this seems to be ignored, too.
Is there a way to keep the Automatic Game Detection and still exclude games i launch with Steam from it? Or force them to my specific power profile?
PL Version is: Process Lasso Pro v16.0.2.10 x64
Thank you :)
What does the log say when you launch one of the ecluded games? My guess is that some other process is triggering the Performance Mode, perhaps a Steam or game helper process. Let me know what you find!
You're a genius :D
I've checked almost everything, except the helper processes.
It was indeed the gameoverlayui64.exe that had overwritten the game exclusion. =) I've put that on the exclusion list, too and now everything is working fine.
Thank you!
