Title: Power Plan Does not Revert after App Close
Post by: lmstearn on March 14, 2026, 07:48:40 AM
Hi, set Microsoft's Solitaire & Casual Games to High Performance in Application Power Profiles after running a custom plan. After quitting Solitaire, PL always used to revert to the custom plan, in recent W11 editions, it retains the High Performance plan as per event log:
QuoteProcess C:\Program Files\Process Lasso\ProcessGovernor.exe (process ID:4788) reset policy scheme from {8c5e7fda-e8bf-4a96-9a85-a6e23a8c635c} to {8c5e7fda-e8bf-4a96-9a85-a6e23a8c635c}
Possible to repro your end? Thanks.

It should be restoring to the power plan active before the application with the rule ran. We are not aware of any issues surrounding this and have made no applicable changes.

Other rules, including Performance Mode, can affect the power plan. You can set what power plan you want Performance Mode to use in the "Settings > Power" submenu. You can also set a "Start Process Lasso with Power Profile" there, which would function as a base power plan if no other rules are active.

Let me know how it goes!

Thanks, had a look at Perf mode and - disabled "Change power plan when engaged" and "Automatic Detection" (Steam runs all the time in the background) and restarted PL. All of a sudden it's working as of old - must have been something in the settings. All good now.  :)
