Title: Log improvement suggestion: omit "no action" entries
Post by: Autumner on March 14, 2026, 08:59:39 AM
Hello everyone!

Here's a thought. I have set SmartTrim to engage fairly frequently. In most cases, the log gets flooded with these entries: "SmartTrim No Action / No action was taken per configuration".

Yes, I can disable SmartTrim logging altogether but that is unwanted.

So, the suggestion here is for an option to discard "No action taken" entries from the log. I am not sure if this scenario only applies to SmartTrim (that's where I am noticing it), but it'd be a nice option to have.

Thanks

I'm so sorry, somehow I missed this post. Never hesitate to email support@bitsum.com if you don't get a response here. It's easy to overlook legitimate posts while wading through the never-ending flood of bot spam ;).

This was implemented as of v18.2.3.5 BETA. The new checkbox is in the SmartTrim options dialog.

No worries - many thanks for implementing this.
