Hi everyone, I'm using Process Lasso to set a permanent CPU affinity for a specific game (with "Always" enabled). However, after restarting my PC, the setting sometimes isn't applied, and I have to reconfigure it manually.
I'm not sure if this is caused by a Windows conflict or if I'm missing a step in the setup. Has anyone experienced this issue before, and is there a reliable way to make the affinity setting stick after a reboot?
Make sure Process Lasso runs at startup, use "Always" (not temporary), and apply it to the actual game .exe, not the launcher. Also run it as admin.
If it still doesn't stick, the game might spawn child processes, so try a watchdog rule to reapply it.
The game starts up before Process Lasso can kick in, so the rules don't apply. If the game has its own launcher, the main process might change or create sub-processes. Affinity settings might be reset by Windows or the game during the boot sequence. Process Lasso isn't running with Admin rights or the service isn't starting fast enough.
