Title: [Feature suggestion] Start some process if PC is idle for x seconds
Post by: hanemach_gt on March 20, 2013, 02:44:16 PM
I don't know if it is already in the wishlist, but what do you think of something like I described in the subject? For instance, I would need this if I wanted to launch some backup software (or my scripts) if I were away for 5 minutes. Looking at what you've made available to do after some time of inactivity, it should be quite easily doable, but you know better, admittedly.

Did you try Task Scheduler? :)

I know of Task Scheduler, but I believe it would be far more convenient in Process Lasso. I suggest it, again, as I see how many functions rely on user inactivity.

Yes, I can certainly do this, and I imagine it would be useful. However, I can't help but feel there has to be a simpler way of exposing this, and other functions. I have long had some ideas in mind. I will see what I can do.

The Task Scheduler is certainly intended to allow things similar to this, but you aren't the only one who would rather have these features in Process Lasso. Perhaps when the features overlap, I can use the task scheduler as the backing executor.
