Title: NTDLL.DLL crash
Post by: hai2hai on July 18, 2008, 02:24:25 PM
I've got this error in recent days (see picture). I don't know if it is caused by PECompact or not but if I don't compact then It wont cause any error. (exe file was compiled by VB6 compiler, run in Windows XP SP2 and tested with PECompact v2.861, v2.920). This error also occur in other computers (Not responding after login to MS SQL database and start the web update service). It seem the problem was asked here (http://help.lockergnome.com/windows/Windows-XP-EXPLORER-failing-NTDLL-DLL-ftopict537015.html)

Its hard to say what is going on, or whether PECompact is at fault, without a lot more information. Note that I made this a new topic since you had posted in an unrelated thread.

To be clear, does this have anything to do with PECompact? Thanks for the clarification, it is a lot to read. I assume that PECompact was not the cause since the hotfix addresses the problem. I renamed the topic in anticipation of that.
