NOTICE: Some recent new users may need to manually check for updates *once*
We had a slight mishap during some installer streamlining last month. At the time I wrote Lasso, it was customary to always ask before checking for updates. Now, it's assumed. Unfortunately, when we streamlined the install of the workstation edition, we forgot to get this permission from the user - thus automated update checks weren't performed. This has been fixed and back-ported to the latest final version.
We discovered this issue in-house, for those curious, and were able to safely and effectively handle it within 24 hours.
Further, it's severity is Low. It's more about our revenue stream, since updates are important - as we provide new features and such.
