Title: TR/Logger & TR/Crypt.XPACK.Gen Trojan
Post by: mariost on March 20, 2010, 07:12:30 PM
When I try to compress any exe now ( after upgrading to v3.02.1  I get a virus notice from Avira every time.
What is going on? Is you new version infected?

Let me know please ( mariost@shaw.ca )

This is a false alarm. Are you using any special plug-ins? We need to get this cleared up ASAP, needless to say. Please also contact Avira, and I will do the same.

I tried scanning with http://www.virustotal.com/ (trustworthy results, cos many different AVs used for scan)

Using antidebug loader in all four cases:
With only the IsDebuggerPresent Hook plugin: 16.67% suspicious
Without any hook plugins: 16.67% .. exactly the same
With / without extra codecs .. same result again.

Using default loader, and EAD loader,  with default settings (no hooks or codecs) also same results ..
So, 83% safe results from multiple antivirus scans suggests the Avira scanner is at fault. :)

Thanks BoB ;). Hopefully they'll issue a rapid fix if we all keep on them.
