Title: Watch Dog for volume shadow copy service
Post by: chris635 on August 22, 2015, 05:26:28 PM
Hey Fella's

On Windows 10 here. I use Macrium Reflect to perform back ups. With my printer connected the VSS service will not shut down when the back up finish's (didn't happen on windows 7). It doesn't consume any cpu cycles and the back ups are performed with out issue's. How do I set up a watch dog rule to terminate the vss service once Macrium Reflect completes and shuts down?

Chris

I don't think you can do what you want yet .
Watchdog would need to have some expanded rules added to handle that .

Yes, I need to add a rule to do X when process Y shuts down. That's not really a big problem, so I'll see what I can do going forward!
