Is there any advantage/disadvantage to using the .portable version for either the server or the workstation?

Can portable version still be used on windows server editions?

Hi, where do you see portable version , I don't think there is one but i could be wrong .

Officially the Portable Edition is not maintained.

Unofficially, it is still published.

There is no advantage to using it unless you need to run it off a thumb-drive without installing, which isn't recommended.
