I have PL V4.00.30 and I got your program from some give away site.
Question : Can I update the program ?

Yes, at least for the time being. This may not be true in the future, but I will certify it to be true for now. When you see v5 go out, it will no longer be true.

How about updating my 4.00.34 from GAOTD to 5 now, which is prompted by the program itself?

Yes, you can update and you will not lose your license. Be SURE not to uninstall first.
