Users reported to me that the GUI opened faster in v5.0.0.48. I finally traced this to the low priority I/O Process Lasso was using for log events in previous builds. This caused it the be issue low-priority I/O requests throughout, meaning when you first opened the GUI, if there was much else hard drive activity, the icon resolution would often be slow.
