PL hang when I check for update

PL hang when I manual check for update, until the update window jump out.
I think it will affect some person for bad Network.

PS:The Bitsum servers network is hanging(10 secs I think), that is why I saw this happen, better check for it.(Fixed)
PS2:The forum scripts also using HTTPS link when I am browsing via HTTP.

Thanks for reporting this! I will see what I can do to improve the situation. I will take a look at the server logs + Google Analytics and see if I can determine what may have afflicted the server or its host network. Maybe it was just the route to you, but it's hard to say without looking into it.

I have had this happen to me a handful of times out of hundred  of checking .

It seems to be a networking issue , meaning it cleared up after x time passed .
I would say it only happened few times that it hung for long time .

Yup, it only happen sometimes, but it become worst at that time.
And it is network issue, as the bottom showing as "Page created in 0.0xx seconds with 18 queries."
