[Suggestion] Settings menu UI change

Is it feasible to wedge in between the 'important' development a change to the menu and settings UI? Instead of loads of dropdown menus, something like a proper settings window with tickboxes and everything? The issue here being that if a user wants to make multiple settings changes, he needs to pull down the same menu multiple times because it closes whenever something is changed.
