Power Plan stays active after the application using Performance Mode is closed

Hi everyone,

I'm testing Process Lasso with a few applications that I only want to run under a high-performance power plan temporarily. My expectation is that the normal Windows power plan should be restored once the application exits.

For example, my normal plan is Balanced, while a specific application triggers Bitsum Highest Performance through Performance Mode. The application runs correctly, but occasionally the high-performance plan remains active after the process has completely closed.

I have reproduced this several times, and the behavior seems inconsistent rather than happening after every launch. Has anyone else noticed this on recent versions of Process Lasso/Windows 11?

Is there a recommended way to determine whether another process is keeping the performance plan active, or whether Process Lasso is simply not detecting the application exit correctly? I'd also be interested in knowing which logs or settings are most useful for troubleshooting this.
