The Process sppsvc.exe is randomly consuming about 30% of my cpu. Unfortunately Process Lasso doesn't even detect the process running, so I can't do anything about it. What a pity.

I'm using Windows 10 with Latest update. The process is seen in task manager as "Microsoft Software Platform Protection Service".
The program "Process Hacker 2" can detect it running, while the process is not in the list in PL.

Hi, There are a few processes that PL will not show, this is on purpose so as not to envoke any issues.
You can disable "ignore problematic processes" under options>general, which may show a few more.

This list maybe will be reevaluated soon to see if it can be updated.
Thanks for the report.

I still can't find the process sppsvc.exe even after  disabling "ignore problematic processes" under options>general as you earlier suggested. Please provide advice. Thanks

sppsvc.exe is a protected Windows process (since it is involved in DRM/licensing) and so Process Lasso has limited access to it. As such, it is not presently listed due to the restrictions surrounding it.
