Help me make a lasso.ini for trim watchdog only

First post.  Lasso watchdog seems to trim the working set on our app the way we would like.  But our conservative users would like a .ini for Lasso that does not have ProBalance and other features enabled, at least to begin with.  The only thing we want Lasso to perform is a trim based on a threshold, and logging of only that.  Can anyone help me create the settings for this?  I have this in my .ini file:
WatchdogRules2=c:\program files (x86)\aurora\aurora.exe;3;1;350.00;5000;0;3;1;-;-;-;-

Hi softstorm, welcome!

The easiest way to get a minimal config is to build it once in the GUI and export it. That way every key name matches your version of Process Lasso.

1. On a test machine, reset to defaults (Options > General > Reset all configuration).
2. Turn off ProBalance, then SmartTrim, IdleSaver and any other features you don't want.
3. In the logging options, uncheck everything except the actions you want to see.
4. Add your watchdog rule, or paste your WatchdogRules2 line under [AdvancedRules].
5. Export the configuration and use that file for deployment.

If you prefer to edit the INI by hand, these are the main keys:

[OutOfControlProcessRestraint]
OocOn=false

[Logging]
LogOutOfControlProcessesRestrained=false
LogOutOfControlProcessesRestored=false
LogDefaultPriorityAdjustments=false
LogDefaultAffinityAdjustments=false
LogProcessesDisallowed=false
LogInstanceLimitTerminations=false
LogAllProcessesExecuted=false

To push it to your users, install silently and import the file:

ProcessLassoSetup.exe /S /importconfigfrom=c:\path\to\aurora_lasso.ini
Add /configfolder=<folder> if you want every user on a machine to share one config.

One more thing: your rule trims aurora.exe at a 350 MB threshold sustained for 5 seconds. Open it in the watchdog dialog and check that the comparison is set to "greater than", so the trim fires when memory goes above 350 MB rather than below it.

Hope that helps. Let us know how it goes!
