After our recent re-integration of our developer and consumer sites (formerly pecompact.com and bitsum.com), there were some errors on the PECompact Purchase paging. The sale it presented for certain licenses was not actually available on the purchasing links. This has now been fixed. This sale will continue for a while longer, until gen2 of PECompact is released. By 'gen2' I mean a substantial upgrade to this product that has been in the works for a long time. The exact version number has not been determined yet, but it will likely be marked as 'version 4'.

any schedule for PEC4? or the beta version at least for testing?  :)

Jeremy Collake

Yes, but I don't want to commit myself to dates at this time. Work is being done, I can say that much. I am adding (and a part of) the new Taggant project, which is an IEEE cooperation between packer vendors and security software vendors. Further, PE+ (PE64) support is being added.

Does this means there'll be beta version of pecompact again for this year?

I notice theres no more pecompact version(including beta) release for this year so far.

Jeremy Collake

The PESuite download link is fixed. Thanks! When I let the pecompact.com domain go, it had broken that link.

There may be a new PECompact release in time. I don't want to guarantee such. I do have some things scheduled that will likely result in at least one new major version this year.

The PESuite link isnt fix yet, I mean the download link on your website homepage. Please take alook.

BTW, any info regarding my quesitons on the other thread about pecompact tutorial and pesuite?

Thank you.

Jeremy Collake

Oops, it's fixed now. http://bitsum.com/pesuite.php

Some PECompact forum content was lost many, many years ago. These days, it wouldn't have been lost, but at the time, it was.

There's no tutorials I know of. Maybe someone has created one here or there.

What about a GUI for PESuite then?

The commandline features just give me headache. ::)

Jeremy Collake

That's not going to happen. These are build tools, meant to be invoked during a build process.
