Best Initial Settings for XP SP3 Based System

Are there any specific or recommended setting for a system running XP SP3?

I am a novice user.

Or should i jut go with the default settings?

I am running a Toshiba laptop, P4 CPU, 1.5 GB of RAM.

I'd set/check 'exclude foreground processes' from OOC restaint, but that's the only general change I recommend. I've wrestled with making this the default, or not, and have finally decided that I will. So, in future versions this won't be a concern.
