Those built-in tools in Process Lasso. I've tried both and honestly didn't notice any real improvement in input lag in games.

They might help a bit with system responsiveness, but for gaming latency specifically, CPU affinity and priority tweaks tend to make more difference than TweakScheduler or the Multimedia Scheduler settings.

Hey, I'm pretty new here too, but I ran into something similar with another EAC game.

From what I've seen, the "Disable hyperthreading" option in Process Lasso doesn't always work properly with games that use Easy Anti-Cheat. It can either ignore the affinity or throw errors like the one you're seeing.

Have you tried setting a CPU affinity manually instead (like only selecting the physical cores and leaving out the logical ones), and then saving it as a persistent rule? That worked better for me than the HT toggle.

Are you launching it directly or through Ubisoft Connect every time?

I installed the beta from your link, and it does appear to track my GPU use now.  I'll give it a few shutdowns and suspends to make sure it's able to resume properly and let you know!

Thanks!

Would you be open to trying the v18.1 beta, which has multiple GPU support? This will test the "picked the wrong GPU" theory.

If you are able, let me know how it goes!

Process Lasso / GPU utilization showing 0% sin...

Hi!  Registered for the forums because I can't figure this out.  Didn't see another post on it in the Process Lasso section.

Since updating recently, the GPU use in Process Lasso has been showing 0% - I'm not sure if this was the process lasso update on the 4th of April, or if it was the newer nVidia driver that was released about a week ago because I haven't done anything that would have pushed the GPU that caused me to notice.

Is this a configuration option (seeing the wrong GPU, even though it's disabled in my 9950x3d?  Or is there an issue between Process Lasso and the newer nVidia driver and I just need to wait for an update (if so, that's okay!)

My GPU is showing normal usage in Windows' performance monitor.

GPU drivers are Nvidia 596.36 Gaming Ready drivers, hardware is a 5090 ASUS Astral, on an X870E MSI Carbon Wifi motherboard.

Thanks!

Process Lasso / Advice on optimizing gaming la...
Last post by Ironlad714 - May 01, 2026, 10:19:29 AM
I've had Process Lasso for a month or two, but didn't really get too deep into it until this week when I ran into some major issues with performance degrading after poorly optimized updates for my main game (Overwatch). The laptop I use has an Intel Core i7-12700H which comes with 14 cores, 6 P cores with 2 threads each (CPUs 0-11), and 8 E cores (CPUs 12-19) for a total of 20 threads. In order to give myself the best performance in game, I am currently isolating CPUs 2-11 (5 whole P cores) exclusively for games using a System Reserved CPU Set on CPUs 2-11 as well as a regular CPU set on cores (0-1;12-19) that utilizes a RegEx to covering all processes not found within any of my game directories: /^([^,]*,){3}(?!(.*\\GameDir1.*|.*\\GameDir2.*|.*\\GameDir3(?!\\GameDir3Launcher.*)))/
In addition I am working on my ProBalance and SmartTrim settings (screenshots of where I am now attached), the goal being to set up ProBalance to reduce/spread out the load on my non game cores to maximize boost to the P cores while gaming. Like I said Im fairly new to utilizing Process Lasso to this extent so I wanted to know if I was going overkill with any part of my setup or if anyone has suggestions on how to improve them.

QuoteI'm not sure if this is a result of the last fix that extended the evaluation time for the first regular expression rule. I can't find the download link for the old version to do testing.

It may be. You can download older versions here.

In the case of the GUI, I think we can make these evaluations asynchronous and resolve the blocking effects you see. This may come after the v18.1 release though. I'll keep you posted!

Running a WebView2 application with multiple processes simultaneously can still cause Process Lasso to freeze.
I'm not sure if this is a result of the last fix that extended the evaluation time for the first regular expression rule.
I can't find the download link for the old version to do testing.

Quote from: Henryz20 on August 26, 2025, 03:54:33 PMHello everyone. Im new here. I scoured for a while now, looking for a solution to my problem. I figured I'd try my luck here.

In my case, I am trying to disable hyperthreading for Ghost Recon Wildlands. The game will not launch in a timely manner (all i get is a splash screen) unless I disable hyperthreading via BIOS. Which I think is absurd to do for one game. However, it will eventually launch, if you let it sit for 10 minutes. Which is unacceptable. I was hoping if anyone on the forum can help me on how to use Process Lasso properly and fix this issue. Here's what I've done so far:

1. I clicked on the actual process and chose "Disable hyperthreading" But that didnt launch the game right away.
I noticed that I get an error code 0x64 whenever I try running the app.
2. I also disabled hyperthreading for the parent process, (UPC.exe, Uplay Connect Client.) But that didn't work either.

The game uses Easy Anti-Cheat and it might have something to do with it. Unfortunately it is required to play online. I run 4080 SUPER and Intel 13700K. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Hey, welcome to the forum! It sounds like a frustrating issue with Ghost Recon Wildlands. Since you've already tried disabling hyperthreading through Process Lasso without success, it might be worth checking if Easy Anti-Cheat is causing the issue. Sometimes, security systems like EAC interfere with certain process tweaks. A potential workaround could be trying to disable hyperthreading before launching Uplay (or the game itself) and seeing if that helps. You could also try running the game in compatibility mode or updating both Uplay and your drivers to make sure everything is in sync. Let me know if any of that helps!
