Ever since Season 2 hit, my game lost it's fluidity and I've tried everything to fix this issue including reinstalling my OS with no luck. I gave up until I stumbled upon a post for another game and I've decided to give this program a go.

Turns out, it wasn't a joke and the results were there. My input latency improved, game became more responsive and fluid, and if you're a madman with this program you can achieve stable 500-600 FPS depending on your hardware.

In my own words, Process Lasso is basically Task Manager on steroids that gives you complete control on how many cores each app/service can use until the point you can run your whole system on a single core while you game. On top of giving you such control if you're someone who knows what he's doing, it does this by default to some extent without you having to thinker and worry.


Here are my settings, and how to do it:


1.) Download and install Process Lasso: https://bitsum.com/

2.) Open Process Lasso, go to "Main" tab and make sure "ProBalance" is enabled. Don't touch anything else.

3.) Launch OW2.

4.) Alt tab, and go back to Process Lasso and click on the "Active Processes" tab.

5.) Find OW2 process, right click on it and apply following:

- Priority Class > Always > High

- CPU Affinity > Always > Uncheck CPU 0

- I/O Priority > Always > High

6.) Go to "File" tab, and save your profile.


Note: You have to open Process Lasso each time you start your system before launching OW2. You can also use this for different games like Valorant, I've had same success with this exact configuration. There are also plenty of videos on YouTube if you want to go even more in-depth.

Thanks for sharing the settings. Process Lasso can definitely help in some cases, especially if background processes are competing for CPU time. That said, results can vary depending on the hardware and the game update, so I wouldn't expect everyone to suddenly gain hundreds of FPS. It's also worth benchmarking before and after making changes so you know what's actually improving performance.

Those mean that the preferred GPU adapter is set to Performance (+) or Power Saving (-).

This preference can be set in the Windows' Settings as well, so Process Lasso is reflecting that previously set preference. Some applications may set this themselves.

In the Rules column, I see two entries I don't understand and didn't set.
One program, MEmuHeadless.exe, has "(GPU+)" and the related MEmu.exe has "(GPU-)".
I searched the online docs for a while but didn't see the explanation for a while and didn't find it, so am asking the question here.

That's the kind of behavior we see when Windows' game detection and the AMD 3D V-Cache Performance Optimizer driver disagree about which CCD to prefer. On a dual-CCD X3D part, games are supposed to be steered onto the V-Cache CCD, but the Xbox Game Bar detection that drives that logic is unreliable, and when it misfires you get exactly what you're seeing: a title parked on the second (frequency) CCD with the cache cores idle, and a big FPS hit.

As you've noted, Process Lasso can pin this down for you so it's not random:

• For each affected game, right-click its process, choose CPU Affinity, then Always, and select the V-Cache CCD cores (whichever of 0-15 / 16-31 carries the 3D V-Cache on your chip; CPU-Z or Ryzen Master will confirm which). That rule is persistent and reapplies every launch, so you won't have to touch Task Manager again.
  
• If you'd rather not hard-restrict cores, use CPU Sets instead of Affinity for the same processes. It's a softer hint the scheduler can still lean on, and it tends to play nicer with games than a hard affinity mask.
• Worth checking that the AMD chipset driver (with the 3D V-Cache Optimizer) is current, that Xbox Game Bar is enabled, and that your UEFI (BIOS) preferred CCD setting is correct since that's the stock path that's supposed to handle this. The Process Lasso rule above will override it deterministically regardless.

Nu obișnuiesc să las recenzii, însă de această dată chiar am simțit că merită să împărtășesc experiența mea. După un zbor destul de lung spre București, ultimul lucru pe care mi-l doream era să pierd timp căutând un mijloc de transport sau să mă confrunt cu proceduri complicate pentru închirierea unei mașini. Am ales serviciile de rent a car din Otopeni oferite de Skycar.ro deoarece mi-a atras atenția posibilitatea de a închiria fără garanție, un avantaj pe care nu l-am găsit atât de ușor la alte companii. Încă din momentul rezervării am observat că totul este bine organizat, informațiile sunt prezentate clar, iar comunicarea cu echipa a fost promptă și profesionistă. Odată ajuns în aeroport, preluarea autoturismului s-a desfășurat rapid, fără formalități inutile și fără să simt presiunea unor costuri ascunse sau a unor condiții greu de înțeles. Mașina pe care am primit-o era impecabilă, curată, bine întreținută și pregătită pentru drum, ceea ce mi-a oferit încredere încă din primii kilometri. Pentru mine, adevărata valoare a unui serviciu de închirieri auto nu constă doar în autoturism, ci în întreaga experiență oferită clientului, iar Skycar.ro a reușit să transforme un proces care de multe ori este obositor într-unul simplu și lipsit de stres. Am avut libertatea să îmi organizez deplasările exact așa cum mi-am dorit, fără să depind de taxiuri sau de programul transportului public, iar acest lucru mi-a făcut călătoria mult mai eficientă. Un alt aspect pe care l-am apreciat a fost transparența pe tot parcursul colaborării. Tot ceea ce mi s-a promis înainte de rezervare s-a respectat întocmai, iar acest lucru inspiră seriozitate și profesionalism. La final, predarea mașinii s-a realizat la fel de rapid ca preluarea, fără verificări interminabile sau alte neplăceri. Consider că atunci când găsești o companie de inchirieri masini otopeni fara garantie care pune accent pe respectul față de client și oferă servicii de rent a car Otopeni fără garanție direct din aeroport, merită să revii ori de câte ori ai nevoie. Din punctul meu de vedere, Skycar.ro a demonstrat că o experiență de închiriere auto poate fi simplă, corectă și confortabilă, motiv pentru care voi apela cu încredere și pe viitor la serviciile sale și o voi recomanda celor care își doresc o soluție rapidă și sigură imediat după aterizare.

I think a good balance can be achieved by improving the forum structure. A clear FAQ section and beginner-friendly guides could help new users solve common issues quickly, while dedicated advanced sections could encourage deeper discussions about optimization, troubleshooting, and feature requests. Keeping both groups engaged is important because today's beginners can become tomorrow's power users.

Process Lasso / 9950X3D2 Core Affinity

Any X3D2 owners out there have weird thread scheduling/affinity behavior? New build, 9950X3D2, new Windows 11 Pro install, latest BIOS on an X870E-E board w/ latest chipset drivers. Random games will be set by Windows to CCD2--if I look at the affinity they are set to core 16-31 only, 0-15 are disabled. This isn't the usual thread scheduling you'd expect to see (all core affinities enabled, but just 0-15 being used for games). The games that are affected are completely random as well. So far I have seen it with Nioh 3, Grim Dawn, Alaloth, and King Arthur Legion IX.

At least with Nioh 3 the performance is crippled to being unplayable--about a 30-40% performance hit with wild fluctuations--unless I open task manager and change it to all cores (works normally if I do that) or use Process Lasso.
